Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPDM)
ASTM Classification | : | CA |
Temperature Range | : | - 50°C to 120°C (VMQ) - 50°C to 150°C(PVMQ) |
EPDM is a Terpolymer of Ethylene, Propylene & Diene which can be cured using Sulphur as well as Peroxides.
EPR on the other hand is a copolymer of Ethylene & Propylene which can be only cured with the help of Peroxides.
EPDM exhibits outstanding resistance to Heat, Ozone, Weathering, Steam and Low Temperatures.
Owing to economical costs, EPDM finds large application in Automotive Products, Door & Window Glazing/Seals, Hydraulic Brake Systems, Weather Strips, Water Systems, Electrical Insulation etc.
